Cables For Network

Let's check out the differences ...

Cable vs. Satellite Tv Fees

Cable Tv fees over the country mean .99 per month. In our area the cost for cable Tv is .30 a month for 64 channels, plus .95 a month to add digital channels. Installation in one room is .95, plus .95 for each added room.

Cable vs. Satellite Tv Programming

Cable Tv in most areas offers almost as many channels as satellite Tv, and is broadcast in analog (over-the-air) format. If you want to have digital picture and sound you'll have to pay an added fee, normally to a month.

Satellite Tv offers more channels than cable Tv (more than 250 channels), and more Hdtv (high definition Tv) programming. All satellite Tv channels are broadcast in digital format for the highest quality picture and sound.

Cable vs. Satellite Tv Equipment

With cable you only need cable boxes that associate the incoming cable line to your televisions. There is normally no charge or rental fees for cable boxes, however, If you want a digital video recorder, you'll have to pay an extra fee.

With satellite Tv you need a satellite Tv dish and Tv receivers. Both Dish Network and DirecTv offer that equipment, plus installation, for free. Dish Network will give you a Dvr (digital video recording) receiver or an Hdtv receiver at no charge, while DirecTv charges .99 for Dvr receivers and 9 for Hdtv receivers.

Cable and Satellite Tv Reliability and buyer Satisfaction

Cable Tv outages mean 3% to 5% per year. J.D. Powers and associates ranks cable associates as good to poor in buyer satisfaction.

Satellite Tv outages mean about 1%. J.D. Power and associates has ranked the two satellite Tv providers -- Dish Network and DirecTv -- higher in buyer pleasure than any of the cable Tv associates for the last five years

The bottom Line

If you only watch a combine of shows a week, and you live in an area where you can't get over-the-air Tv and cable Tv costs less than per month, then cable may be your best option.

If, on the other hand, you want the biggest variety of shows, movies, sports, and news for the least amount of money ... You want to watch your all your shows in digital video and sound ... And you want the selection of watching them in Hd format and recording them on a Dvr receiver, then satellite Tv is what you're seeing for.

With the popularity of satellite Tv theory rising, it's not a surprise for us the see the aid being tested out on computers. Computers are just as important as Tv nowadays as habitancy spend many hours in front of the computer. So, a new satellite Tv on Pc theory was introduced. Dealers are now selling software which you can use to setup satellite Tv into your Pc. Many habitancy would be attracted to this but the idea of watching satellite Tv on my Pc just doesn't seem genuine. There is a lot of concern regarding the reliability of satellite Tv on Pc.

Firstly, satellite Tv on Pc depends on the speed of the internet on your Pc. Although the speed of the internet is very fast today, it is still very unstable when it comes to consistency. The speed of the internet is sometimes very fast and could also be very slow. Therefore, this will greatly work on the satellite Tv on Pc. There is also the server that we should think of. Furthermore, the Pc theory itself could give us sufficient issue like virus attacks, fixing bugs and other problems. When this happens, we need to format and fix the Pc and this will take up a lot of time. The worse thing is, this thing could happen again and again. With a Tv, you will never have to face this sort of problem. On the technology side, I indeed think that satellite on Pc is a very smart product. However, there are lot of complex stuff related to it. Firstly, there is the set up procedure which is very complicated. We don't get customer preserve this sort of thing. So, if we make a mistake, there will no one to help us.

When I settled the two satellite Tv theory side by side, the price of satellite-to-Pc is indeed cheap compared to satellite Tv system. The cost for satellite-to-Pc is roughly half the price of a month's subscription with Dish Network. However, being cheap doesn't mean that they can deliver as well. Besides, satellite-to-Pc has many limitations like the size of the screen. In most cases, monitors are only 19" in size. It indeed is not sufficient to satisfy my viewing needs. If there is 5 habitancy in your family, the 19" is clearly not sufficient for the whole family. Everybody would have to squeeze to get a clear vision.

I would not go for satellite-to-Pc. I would rather spend more money and subscribe to Dish Network. By spending more, I will get the entertainment that I desire, ability photograph and sound, carport as well as great customer support. However, the choice is undoubtedly debatable for those who have a tighter budget. The satellite-to-Pc could suit those who spend all day in front off the computer.
