Step 3: One done, open Internet Explorer or any browser installed in your computer. In the url address textbox, key in the router address. This is ordinarily 192.168.1.1. It will automatically prompt for a username and password. Key in the required information. The username and password information are also included in the router manual. If not you can put "admin" for the username and "password" for the password.

Step 4: If you have already entered, chose the right Internet association options. If you are using Dsl connection, you may be required to key in PppoE password and username. Also input static Ip address, Gateway Address and Network Mask. These are the information provided by your internet provider.

Step 5: If you are using wireless router and wireless internet service, you need to make the environment safer. turn Ssid or the network name and remove the default ones. Think of a name that you can in fact remember.

Step 6: Using the same computer, check if the internet association is now working. Open someone else browser and log on to a website. If you are using wireless connections, wireless devices may be able to pick the signal up. You need to put the passwords in those devices first for you to have way to the internet.
